Canan Altınsoy is an expert dietitian who has been working as a research assistant at a state university in Turkey for four years. After receiving her bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, she completed her master's degree in the same field. She completed her master's degree with the thesis titled " Investigation of the Relationship between the Chronotype of Adults, their Compliance with the Mediterranean Diet, Sleep Quality, and Hedonic Hunger Level’’. She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies in dietetics. During her doctoral studies, she participated in cell culture research at Laboratorio di Nutraceutica at Università Magna Græcia di Catanzaro in Italy for six months. She is currently in the thesis phase of her doctoral programme. Canan's research interests primarily include the relationship between circadian rhythm, sleep and nutrition, the effect of the food environment on human nutrition, and clinical nutrition in celiac disease. She aims to coordinate nutrition therapy interventions to improve clinical outcomes and enhance individuals' quality of life.
